Unlike general relocation companies or “one-size-fits-all” providers, Paws en route is built specifically for both international pet travel and pet relocation within Canada. We don’t try to do everything ourselves or minimize the complexity of pet travel through standard checklists which ultimately exposes pets to risks. Instead, we curate best-in-class specialists for each part of the journey—crates, boarding/hotels, customs agents, and ground transport—so pets receive the highest level of care expert care at every step.
For the human side of relocation, we collaborate with trusted partners such as Atlas Canada for family relocation, ensuring both pets and people are supported by specialists in their respective fields. This approach allows us to deliver better outcomes without compromise.

A Founder-Led Standard of Care
Founder of Paws en route, a pet travel, relocation, and logistics company built from personal experience and a commitment to putting pets first. With over 30 years as a pet parent, Dacia understands firsthand the trust, care, and peace of mind families expect when moving or traveling with their pets.
After struggling to find a reliable solution to relocate her own furry family member, she set out to create a higher standard for pet travel—one that prioritizes safety, compassion, and thoughtful planning. That vision became R.E.S.T. Assured™, Paws en route’s operating philosophy built on Reliability, Experience, Safety, and Trust, and designed to meet the high expectations pet parents have for their fur kids.
Dacia brings 20+ years of consulting and corporate finance experience, having worked with PwC, IBM, Deloitte, the Ontario Financing Authority, and the Bank of Montreal in Money Markets. She also co-founded and successfully ran a boutique management consulting firm for 11 years, advising organizations on strategy and execution.
She holds a Bachelor of Commerce & Finance from the Rotman School of Management (University of Toronto) and an International MBA from Institut Supérieur de Gestion – Grande École (France). Today, she combines business rigor with genuine compassion to deliver pet travel and relocation experiences trusted by families worldwide.
